Coaching | Psychotherapy
My original background is in business, where I spent a long career working on numerous change projects. Over time, I became aware my interests lay more in people aspects of change than technology. I received repeated feedback others found me approachable and comfortable to talk to about issues, either work or personally related. I therefore decided to qualify as a life and business coach. Later, seeking both greater relational depth and to be able to support clients having more long established, deeper issues, I started (on-going) psychotherapy training.
Today, I am passionate about supporting clients with a wide range of issues. It could be a few sessions to discuss a specific business issue (e.g. business plan for a new venture), space to explore a change of direction in life (e.g. after divorce, bereavement, redundancy) or open-ended sessions to work through issues of identity, fixed patterns of behaviour or the effect past events may still be having in here-and-now. My Coaching and Psychotherapy pages list the areas I work in.
I have the following relevant qualifications and/or on-going trainings:
Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy (Metanoia Institute, London & SCPTI, Scarborough) – 2017 to date
Diploma in Life and Business Coaching; NLP Practitioner (UKCPD, Swindon) – 2014
Masters in Business Administration (MBA) (Open University) – 2002
BA (Mathematics) (Oxford University) – 1984
